Ashby House Interiors prides itself in selling genuine pieces and can guarantee authenticity because we personally select all of the stock. The stock ranges in age from early 1800s to the 1940’s. They are elegant but unpretentious pieces, intended to be used and enjoyed every day for years to come.

WE'RE MOVING ONLINE AND TO OUR WAREHOUSE IN OCEAN GROVE
ASHBY HOUSE INTERIORS has been in business in Geelong and Queenscliff for the past 25 years and for the most part has specialised in importing French antiques. The previous owners Dell Hamilton and Geoff Williams passed on their expertise to us and inspired us to continue the tradition of going to France to personally source quality authentic French stock.
We were already rusted on Francophiles but this has only fuelled our desire to spend more and more time in France and to bring back more and more antique treasures. We have decided that the way to do this is spend 3 or 4 months a year in France and rather than have a retail space here we will sell from our warehouse in Ocean Grove at select times.
This will have a number of advantages over what we are currently doing now.
Firstly and the primary reason, is that it will free us up to spend more time in France. We plan on living for part of the year in France and be on the spot to source fabulous antiques.
Secondly, it will allow us to cut our overheads substantially and therefore offer our antiques at a more competitive and attractive price.
Thirdly, we will be able to concentrate on what our first love is, and that is the French product. We are not interested in stocking cheap imports, which you can get anywhere and increasingly online. As well as the antiques we will stock our exclusive French lines such as Laguiole and other small brocante items from France, such as copper saucepans.
